Grand Prize Winner

"A Hopeful Silence" by Celine Chung

This piece shows a blue butterfly among an area of destroyed and deserted structures. It relates to the theme "work of love" because the butterfly symbolizes hope that is and can only be sparked by love, no matter how bad the situation and no matter the person. When people sprout hope from love, no words need to be used to express it. I chose this entry because it allowed me to use different materials and experiment, such as painting on my hand.
